Day 1 at Jane Parker

Trying to go by bus on a new route and got stuck in the traffic since 9am, swear not to take short cut bus 75 to go through the city. By 9.45am, decided to get off and walk my way to Jane packer... leg muscle is screaming for a rest...., tomorrow will go by the bus 205 bus or bus 30, drop at Harley Street just after Regent Park.

Yes, everyone sit there nicely dress up with the apron, i was crazy catching my breath... left the worst sit:(.... nice Japanese young man giving us lecture... that seem to pay off a little. Everyone make a brief introduction on them self, another lady like me trying to escape from previous life... 2 retired moms... 2 japanese ladies, 3 koreans...etc, made up a team of 10. My neighbor is 2 Korean sisters, one is in catering, the other in finance, trying to start a floral store after the course.

OK..., first we all need to condition the whole pile of flowers and foliages, clean it, cut a 45°angle on stem, soak it in the water. Many ways to keep the flower fresh for a longer period of time, add sugar, aspirin, chorine tablets...etc, well, best is to change water everyday.

Lesson 2: Orchid Plant Dressing

 Orchid is a very long lasting plant & can last for weeks. So, do not put under direct sun light, water once a week. It's very costly plant, around £45 - £60 a potted plant. Wow! in China is about £15 for a well potted Orchid.

  

Learn to wrap the Orchid as gifts & protect the flower head... not sure about the flower head wrapping, look like mickey mouse to me.

Love the flower selection in Jane Packer Store, they all look so hardy, vibrant color, so unlike the floral market in Beijing that i have to deal with;(.... then again the price is also ;o...
