Day 19 & 20 at Jane Packer

Today is THE Day...
My Flower arrived in the morning, how unexciting... felt that I should be more adventurous with the flower selection...:(

My Creation of Crystal Frills Wedding...
Table Center piece with Crystal hanging in the clear vase. The tutor liked the crystal detail, but the flower arrangement shape on the top is not so perfect.

The tutor also liked the finishing with lace and the added little touches of crystal is cute.

The tutors commented there is still gap at Circlets, may be it will look better with spray rose added on.
Overall comment was simple and deliver the brief. A 14/20 points for me :)

Here are the other student creation.

Galax x 1 Bunch
China Gras x 3 Bunch
Kalanchoe Plant x 1 (Succulent Plant, Flower can last for a while)
(There is only one lesson today, due to the messive handy craft work to be done)
Step 1: Take 7 China Gras leaves as agroup, tie 2 knots keep about 1.5cm trim off, tie up with wire 32. Total 10 knots, keep all the wire long.
Step 2: Select 8 smaller Galax leaves and roll it up, poke through the wire and wrap it up, The rest of the other 8 Galax leaves stitch it and wrap up with tape.
Step 3: Prepared 15 set of Brunia, by using each with 3 heads, external wired, wire 32.
Step 4: TRim the heads of the Kalanchoe plants, external wired, prepared 12 heads.
Step 5: Reduce the size of the Calla, trim the head off, the smaller petal use for exterior cover, the big petal trim down further,  roll it up, wrap up with the other petal, poke a wire 70, wrap the tape around.
Step 6: wired 10 Stephanotis.
Step 7: wire 9 Dolomi roses, use wire 90, semi external wired
Step 8: Use wire 70 for spray rose. wired all the 3 stock of roses.
Step 9: Trim the Hydrangea to smaller groups and wrap up, around 6 nos.
Step 10: Pick 4 Dolomiti Roses for a start. Put them altogether. choose one as the top, and tape them at about 10cm point. angle the other 3 roses down to 90˚, 60˚ apart from each other. Then start with the Calla, Spray rose, .......and so on
Step 11: use the Galax leave to cover the unsightly wire at the bottom.
This is really a lot of work... 6 hours... This is florist nightmare:( But my result is GOOD.
Next week will be a BIG day for us, we got to propose a wedding design. My theme is "Crystal Frills".
